Homemade Chicken Stock

It's a cold day here and supposed to get colder! So we're having a cooking/snuggling/reading day. :) I have chicken stock simmering on the stove--my first time making it! I hope that it turns out well. It smells sooooo goooood!

  1. i just made two quarts yesterday! i love how versatile whole chickens are- i roast one for a dinner, then i make chicken salad (for sandwiches) with the extra meat off the roaster, then i save the bones/carcass, boil that down to get quarts of chicken stock, and 3-4 extra cups of meat that falls off the bone while boiling!!

    i'm sure it smells wonderful there!
