I'm here!!!

Hi! I'm Caitlyn Christine. I was born at 10:51pm on July 17, 2009. I weighed 7 lbs. 11 ozs. and was 21" long. So far, a lot of people think that I look just like my mommy but she thinks that while I do have her hair, my skin tone is 100% Daddy and so are my long fingers, legs, and toes. I just think I look like me!

I had a long journey in getting here. I forgot to put my head down while I was inside my mommy. So a doctor wearing a mask had to pull me out. He scared me but Mommy said that he did it to make sure I was born healthy.



After I was cleaned off and wrapped up so I'd be warm, Daddy held me for the first time. Daddy took me over so Mommy could see me. The doctor that put Mommy's tummy to sleep took our picture.



Mommy had to go to a different room so the nurses could make sure she was OK but I got to go to the nursery with Daddy. They gave me a bath and a shot but I didn't cry. Finally, it was time to go see my Mommy!



We'd had a rough day! But it was good to meet my Mommy and have her hold me. I felt safe and warm.

Mommy told me that this blog was going to be a way to let my family and friends share in all of my "firsts". That should be fun...because everything is a first for me right now!
